Kidjo Champions Global Voices on Beyond Music Vol.4

Five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo continues her lifelong commitment to music as a force for good as a lead artist on Beyond Music Vol.4: Songs for Social Change

—a global project empowering emerging voices to drive real-world impact through song. Kidjo’s participation marks another defining chapter in her career as an artist-activist—one where creativity, mentorship, and global collaboration converge.

For this landmark album, Kidjo joined an award-winning creative team alongside Afrobeats hitmaker Pheelz and Ghanaian pop powerhouse Wiyaala. Together, they selected standout songs from hundreds of international submissions, spotlighting music that speaks directly to social justice, unity, and human dignity.

Kidjo personally guided selected artists through an immersive creative process, bringing them into world-class studios in Paris, Lagos, and Zurich to record collaboratively. Every step of the journey—from studio sessions to production—was fully supported, ensuring that creativity could flourish without barriers. The project culminated in the production of three original songs and accompanying music videos, amplifying voices from across cultures and continents.

The resulting tracks are featured on Beyond Music Vol.4: Social Change, now released worldwide and submitted for consideration in the newly established Grammy Awards category, Best Song for Social Change. In addition, 20 exceptional artists were collectively awarded $85,000 in prize funding—further extending the project’s impact beyond the album itself.

For Angélique Kidjo, this collaboration reflects a core belief that has guided her career for decades: music is not only an art form, but a catalyst for empathy, action, and lasting change.

Through collaboration, mentorship, and purpose-driven artistry, Angélique Kidjo continues to elevate voices that matter—and reminds us that music can truly change the world.
